Fridge Leak Causes Water Damage

Our SERVPRO of Southern Lorain County Team was called out to this local Avon home to access water damage caused by a filter inside the refrigerator. It caused an extensive amount of damage. The pictures above show just one area of the home that was affected. The water affected the hardwood floors in the kitchen, the carpet in the living room and dining room, and the basement.

The carpet in the living room and dining room could not be salvaged and had to be removed as you can see in the picture at the top right. The hardwood floors and basement ceiling also had to be removed and eventually replaced.

Our SERVPRO Team got right to work start the mitigation and restoration process for these homeowners. With all of our hard work, we were able to get this home back to preloss condition.
